Boarder Security & Immigration
“Secure the Border. Fix the System. Fund America’s Future.” ~ Kevin McClellan
Secure Borders
Why does the richest country in the world tolerate a third-world border? Every administration has a fundamental duty to protect its citizens and defend the sovereignty of the United States. Permanent, secure borders are not optional—they are essential. A nation without borders is not a nation. I will support implementing lasting border security solutions that put an end to chaos, restore the rule of law, and protect American families.
Fair Immigration
Because of past failures, millions of illegal immigrants have lived here for years, worked hard, raised families, and built productive lives. Many of them already contribute to our economy through labor, rent, and consumption—but they are locked out of the legal system, unable to fully participate or pay taxes transparently. That is bad for them, bad for American workers, and bad for American taxpayers.
We need a lawful, structured plan to bring these long-term, law-abiding individuals into the legal immigration system so they can work legally, pay payroll and income taxes, and contribute openly to Social Security, Medicare, and local tax bases. Right now, billions of dollars in potential tax revenue are lost every year because people are forced into the underground economy. Bringing these workers into the legal system would immediately expand the tax base, increase payroll tax collections, and strengthen the financial foundation of entitlement programs that millions of seniors depend on.
Legalization for productive, long-term residents is not “amnesty.” It is accountability. Participants would be required to register, undergo background checks, pay fines for past violations, and commit to learning English and following American law. In return, they would receive lawful work authorization and a path to legal status—but not special treatment or taxpayer-funded benefits.
This approach benefits American workers and businesses by leveling the playing field. When workers are legal, employers can no longer exploit illegal labor to undercut wages or working conditions. Legalization restores fairness in the labor market, raises wages, and protects American workers from unfair competition.
Most importantly, bringing productive immigrants into the system strengthens our national finances. More legal workers means more payroll contributions into Social Security and Medicare, more income tax revenue, more state and local tax funding, and less strain on emergency services and charity care. Instead of draining resources, these individuals become full contributors to the systems that sustain America’s future.
At the same time, these reforms will be paired with permanent border security and strict enforcement so that legalization does not encourage future illegal entry. We will fix the system once—and fix it right.
America First
Non citizen immigrants—legal or illegal—should not receive welfare benefits. Immigration must benefit America, not burden it. Assimilation is a non-negotiable. Immigrants must follow American laws, learn the language, respect our values, and contribute to the nation they choose to call home.
